MUSICAL BRAIN SCAN SERIES: THE MURDER CAPITAL

Good Morning Keith Craig Dyer The Underground Youth Playlist

Dear sixties souls, we're very thrilled to introduce you today the first Musical Brain Scan of 2023! We hope you all had some great holiday and that you've jump into 2023 in the most happy way. For this new episode, we would like to introduce you The Murder Capital.

The band is a Dublin post-punk 5 pieces who explore the darker side of society utilizing rumbling dread and the cathartic elements of post-punk as their tools.

They released their debut single "More or Less" in 2018 as a music video, which unexpectedly blew up online. With the hype swelling around, they quickly recorded their first album "When I have Fears" produced by Mark Ellis aka Flood. They used to support IDLES at that time.

When sitting down to write the follow-up, the band knew they had to evolve. An early iteration of the record emerged after an eight-month period, but the results were deemed depressing. They decamped to London for another 6 months, resulting in Gigi's Recovery in 2022. The album will be out on the 20th of January!

We've asked James, Gabriel, Damien, Cathal & Diarmuid for their musical brain scan, here it is:
