MUSICAL BRAIN SCAN SERIES: ALIX BROWN
Awake people, we're very thrilled to introduce you today a new Musical Brain Scan! We hope you had some groovy times full of psychedelic and mystic adventures. For this new episode we wanted to introduce you Alix Brown, she is the half of Daisy Glaze, an American rock'n'roll duo lead by Louis Epstein (Hits, Jump Into The Gospel) and Alix (Angry Angles, Golden Triangle).
This project started in 2016, these two beautiful souls use to share the stage in NYC with The Black Lips, The Coathangers, Curtis Harding & others. Know for their sweeping cinematic sound that incorporates elements of Ennio Morricone, Jack Nitzche and much-loved ragged pop of Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazelwood, they would not be out of place on a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack.
In 2019, they recorded their debut LP in Portugal with acclaimed producer Sonic Boom (MGMT, Beach House, Panda Bear) who was an outsized influence on their sound and songwriting prior to working with him.
Yesterday they released their single and video! If you haven't done it yet, do yourself a favor and check it.
